Come and celebrate...
Immediately following Christmas is the season of
Epiphany. It is the season in which we celebrate
the coming of the Christmas Star and the arrival
of the Maji or “The Three Wise Men” who traveled
from a distant country in the east to find the “New
Born King” who’s arrival was announced in the
heavens.
The word “Epiphany” itself means a sudden
manifestation or perception of the essential nature
or meaning of something. It is an intuitive grasp of
reality through something (such as an event) that
is often simple and striking. It is an illuminating
discovery, realization or disclosure.
Epiphany is that “Aha!” moment when suddenly
things become crystal clear. For the Maji, it was
the appearance of a peculiar event in the heavens
which, to them, signaled a royal birth. What’s more, they not only marveled at this strange sign, they had to see the thing to which it was pointing. They packed their bags, loaded up with gifts and set out to see for themselves.
Maybe you feel the pull of your own Epiphany. Maybe God is stirring something within you that has you curious. So, pack your bags and come see what the signs are pointing toward. Come and see for yourself!
It’s not too late to give where it really helps!
